How do I install the Chrome extension?

Go to the Chrome Web Store and search for Writefoundry, or click the link on our Chrome extension page. Click Add to Chrome. The extension icon will appear in your toolbar. You will need a Writefoundry account to use it, sign up free at writefoundry.io if you have not already.

How do I set up my voice profile?

After signing up, you will be guided through a three-step onboarding. Paste five to ten of your past LinkedIn posts, the more you add, the better the AI learns your style. Select your writing tone and your industry. Click Finish. Your voice profile is saved and used for every generation from that point on.

How do I generate my first post?

Open the Writefoundry extension from your Chrome toolbar. Type a topic in one to two sentences. Select a post format, Insight, Story, List, or Contrarian. Click Generate. Three complete post options will appear in about five seconds. Click Copy on the one you like and paste it into LinkedIn.

How do I upgrade my plan?

From your dashboard, click Upgrade in the sidebar or go to Settings and click Upgrade plan. You will be redirected to a secure Stripe checkout page to enter your payment details.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings, Subscription, Manage subscription. This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can cancel. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. If you are not satisfied within 7 days of your first payment, email support@writefoundry.io and we will refund you, no questions asked.

What happens when I hit my generation limit?

On the free plan you have 3 total generations. On Starter you have 30 per month. When you reach your limit, an upgrade prompt will appear. Paid plan limits reset on the first of each month.

Can I update my voice profile?

Yes. Go to Settings, Voice profile, Edit voice profile. This reopens the onboarding flow with your existing settings pre-filled. Add newer posts or adjust your tone and niche. Changes apply to all future generations.

What if the generated posts do not sound like me?

This usually means the onboarding sample posts were too few or too varied. Edit your voice profile and add more posts, aim for 10 or more. Also add any specific rules in the extra context field, for example: I never use emojis, I always write in short sentences, I avoid motivational quotes.

Does the AI improve over time?

Yes. Every time you rate a variant with thumbs up or thumbs down, the system learns your preferences. After 20 or more generations it becomes noticeably more accurate.

The extension is not appearing in my toolbar.

Click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome (top right) and find Writefoundry in the list. Click the pin icon to pin it to your toolbar permanently.

I am logged into the web app but the extension says I am not logged in.

Try logging out and back into the web app. The web app sends your session token to the extension on login. If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall the extension, then log in again.

Does the extension work on Brave?

Yes. Writefoundry works on any Chromium-based browser including Brave and Edge.
